A federal judge ruled Sunday in favor of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH), permitting them to need guests to reveal evidence of vaccination in defiance of Florida’s vaccine passport restriction.
United States District Judge Kathleen Williams approved the cruise line an initial injunction, momentarily obstructing enforcement of the restriction, concluding NCLH would likely win in its argument that the restriction infringes upon the business’s civil liberties.
In the 59-page judgment , she stated Florida stopped working “to supply a legitimate evidentiary, accurate, or legal predicate” for the vaccine passport restriction which the law might adversely affect public health.
The judgment represents a significant blow to Governor Ron DeSantis’ efforts to stop vaccine requireds in the state of Florida, which presently has among the worst COVID-19 rises in the United States.
